At Kingsford Community School we work closely with local primary schools to ensure a smooth transition through the important step into Secondary education. For many pupils and their families this can be a daunting move, with children often changing friendship groups and adapting to a new routine and a more independent approach to learning. As a school we work hard to ensure that our pupils feel welcome and included from the outset, and that their families feel well informed about the kind of school community they will be joining. 

To facilitate this transition, we have organised the following events: 

 

Year 6 Parent Transition Information Evening  

Date: Tuesday 25th June 2024  

Time: 5.00 - 6.00 p.m.

Location: Kingsford Community School Assembly Hall 

All new parents should attend this session where we will share important information about their child's transition to Kingsford Community School.

Year 6 Parent Morning - Document Drop-In Sessions 

Dates: Wednesday 26th June 2024, Thursday 27th June, Friday 28th June 

Time: 9.00 - 10.30 a.m.

Location: Kingsford Community School Library 

You will be asked to sign up to a date and time slot for these mornings via our transition site Applicaa in the first week of June. 

Primary to Secondary Transition Day (for Pupils) 

Date: Thursday 4th July 2024  

Time: 9.00 a.m - 2.30 p.m.

Location: Kingsford Community School 

Parents are welcome to drop off and collect their children from the main entrance.
